| Chad Hetman, Captain, US Army infantry |
|
Hopefully this officer will set an example for other officers to follow. While many military officers are self-serving cowards, this LT had the courage to stand up in the face of adversity and do the right thing instead of following the herd and doing the easy wrong. This is what courage and ethics looks like. Chad Hetman is a native of New Jersey. He entered the Army through the ROTC program at Rutgers University in 1993. He served in the National Guard, was a 2nd lieutenant in the infantry, served in Korea and trained other soldiers in counter-guerilla warfare. Opposed to the Iraq War, he left active duty as a captain in 2002 and still holds that rank in the Individual Ready Reserves. |
